Hello to All Contributors! Between May and August, I have weathered successful surgeries for Thyroid Cancer and Breast Cancer (2nd time -- first in 2001). My I-131 radiation pill treatment this past week was a trip! I felt like I was entering a glass room where everyone wore hazmat suits! Not really, but it felt like it when they gave me the pill that was held in a glass tube and given to me using a pair of tongs that held the tube with the pill in it! The challenges I have met, along with the various needle pokings and body scans, are nowhere near the same pain and discomfort most children go through after being diagnosed with one form of cancer or another. Your contributions will help researchers find a cure in our lifetime for these children. Together, we can make a difference!
