Is there a minimum fundraising requirement?
No. There is no minimum requirement to fundraise for CHOC. Set any fundraising goal that you are comfortable with, whether it's $100 or $100,000. Every campaign makes a difference!
Do I get to choose where my funds go?
Yes! When you start a fundraiser, you will have the option of choosing which area your fundraiser will support.
Where can I find a list of the people who have donated to me?
Log in with your email and password to visit your dashboard page. Select the "Reports" tab. You will then find a list of all of your donors as well as a list of all donors to your team.
Can I mail in a cash donation?
We recommend against using mail to send cash donations. Instead, you may drop off the cash at the CHOC Foundation along with your information, or you can deposit the cash into your checking account and send a personal check from your account.
What can I do if a check is written out to me personally?
If a donation check has been written out to you personally, you may endorse the back of the check and mail it to the CHOC Foundation. Please make sure to state the fundraiser's name in the memo line. For example, please write "Jane Smith's Car Wash Fundraiser."
Can I enter a check online?
Checks may only be entered online as pledges. To enter a check as a pledge, login to your dashboard and select the “Reports” tab. Click the blue “+ ADD OFFLINE DONATION” button to enter the pledge. The status of the check will be pending and will not post to your page until the physical check is received by the CHOC Foundation.
How quickly can I expect an online donation to post to my page?
Any donation made online should post immediately. If an online donation does not post within 5 minutes, please
contact us.
Why can't I see all my donors on the Honor Roll?
As your donors contribute, they have the option of whether or not they want to appear in the Honor Roll.
How can I send a thank you email to my donors?
To easily send thank-you emails to donors, follow these steps:
- Log in to your fundraiser dashboard by clicking the "Login" link at the top right of the home page.
- Click the "Reports" tab.
- Locate the donor/donation you'd like to thank, and click "Send Email." (If the donor didn't submit their email address, this option is unavailable.)
- Type the message in the pop-up window, and click "Send Email."
Why am I receiving emails telling me that I've received a donation?
You are receiving these emails because we would like to keep you updated on your fundraising efforts. If you wish to stop receiving these updates, please login to your dashboard and edit your account preferences.
What is a tax ID number and how can I find it?
A tax ID number identifies the CHOC Foundation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Many donors will request this number to validate their donation as tax-deductible. The CHOC Foundation tax ID number is 95-6097416 .
What is my personal page URL?
A personal URL is a shortened link to your team or personal page that you can send to friends and family online. A personal URL will look like something like this: https://raiseup.choc.org/ben.
Will you send a representative to my event and/or provide volunteers?
Due to limited resources, we cannot commit CHOC Foundation staff or volunteers to events.
Are donations tax-deductible?
All monetary donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
What is the CHOC Foundation's tax ID number?
A tax ID number identifies the CHOC Foundation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit Organization. The CHOC Foundation's tax ID number is 95-6097416 .
Do all donors who contribute online receive a receipt?
Yes. Any donor who donates online, regardless of the amount, will receive a receipt via email.
Do all donors who mail their donations receive a receipt?
Yes. Any donor who mailed their donation and provided an address will receive a receipt via mail once the donation has been processed. If you made your donation in installments, you will receive a receipt each time a monthly payment is processed.
Who should I make my check out to?
Please make all checks payable to: CHOC Foundation
Please make sure to state the fundraiser's name in the memo line. For example, please write "Jane Smith's Car Wash Fundraiser."

How do I add a dedication when I make a donation?
When you make a donation online, you may designate what you want to appear as your recognition name on the participant's Honor Roll. This may be your name, or it could be something such as "From the whole Wolf family" or "In memory of Aunt Cathy."
How do I find a participant's personal fundraising webpage?
You may click the magnifying glass in the top toolbar or scroll to the search bar under "Top Fundraisers" towards the bottom of the homepage. Once you begin typing the first or last name in the search bar, your options will display as you type.
How quickly can I expect an online donation to post to a participant's fundraising account?
Any donation made online should post immediately. If an online donation does not post within 5 minutes, please

Can I make a donation to a team?
Yes. You can make a donation to an individual fundraiser on a team or you can make a general team donation.
Who should I contact if I want to change my monthly donation?
May I give a one-time donation instead of setting up a fundraising page?
Yes! To make a one-time donation, please click
here or visit our home page and click the "Donate" button.
Can I donate to CHOC through my donor advised fund?
Yes, however there may be some restrictions. Donor advised funds are acceptable for straight donations, but there are restrictions on ticket sales, auction items, and sponsorships as they may provide goods or services. Please contact your donor advised fund manager if you have any questions.
