Since 2023, the Ranch Community has come together to support the Emergency Department at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).
Most parents, at some time, will face the decision whether to bring their child to the CHOC. It can be a scary and confusing situation. When children are brought to the hospital, they are often crying, nervous, or anxious. Children often fear what will happen once they are being treated. Often the emergency department is the community's first contact with CHOC, and the staff knows the importance of creating a positive experience.
CHOC is asking for your donation to help the Emergency Department doctors and nurses purchase age-appropriate toys and activity kits that distract a sick child while waiting for treatment, and reduce the stress level for parents worried about their child. Seeing them calm and engaged in play helps patients beyond words.
When you make a donation to this giving page, 100% of your individual or corporate donation will go to CHOC Emergency Department to purchase activity kits and toys for toddlers, school age and teens including the following items:
