CHOC Cancer Committee
Most of CHOC patients that receive a diagnosis of cancer have to endure many therapies to combat the disease. These treatments, such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy and/or surgical procedures may impact the patients’ fertility. There are several options for fertility preservation, but it comes at a cost, and many of our patients and their families are already in financial hardship from the expenses related to their treatment. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover any preservation costs which include procedures with specialists and annual storage fees for specimens.
The CHOC Cancer Committee is devoted to helping support CHOC’s cancer patients preserve their fertility. Today, we are asking you for support. Please donate to our fundraising page and share with your family, friends and colleagues. Together, we can make a difference in these patients’ lives by providing funds to preserve their fertility; allowing them to remain hopeful and create future plans in the face of cancer.
Thank you!
