At CHOC, we know that research saves lives. That’s why our Research Institute has more than 500 research studies in more than 30 specialties to provide your child with access to leading-edge treatments. Our scientists translate the latest advances in molecular profiling, including whole genome sequencing, to meet the individual needs of our patients at every stage of their young lives —from infancy through adolescence. The CHOC ULP Medical Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship (MIRE) Program has graduated over 1000 STEM Students across Orange County! MIRE provides the next generation of STEM leaders the multidisciplinary skills needed to thrive in the biotech entrepreneurial world. Students work alongside OC's top leaders in innovation, medicine, science, and law. Students will learn adaptability, resilience, and problem solving through project-based coursework by solving real-world unmet pediatric clinical needs.
