Protecting Kids in Orange County
Trauma Department at CHOC
Unintentional injuries are the #1 cause of death for children. Every day, kids in our community are at risk for preventable injuries at home, on the road, and at play. Our Trauma Program is dedicated to keeping kids safe through injury prevention and community outreach.
We need your help to expand these efforts! Your donation will support life-saving programs and provide essential safety devices to families in need, such as:
- Helmets to prevent head injuries during biking, skating, and other activities.
- Window locks to avoid dangerous falls from upper-story windows.
- Car seats to protect young passengers in vehicles.
- Bike lights and reflectors to improve visibility and safety.
- Medication lockboxes to prevent accidental poisonings.
- Water safety kits with items like water watcher tags and life jackets to reduce the risk of drowning.
Together, we can ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow, play, and thrive. Your support helps us create a safer and healthier future for children, giving them the best chance of growing into healthy and happy adults.
