Better Healing from the Beginning

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at CHOC
The birth of a baby is a wonderful cause for celebration, but health complications may jeopardize the joy that a new baby brings. With dedicated community support, the neonatal program at CHOC stands equipped and committed to help babies and their families stay happy and healthy from the very beginning. As demand grows for best-in-class neonatal care in Orange County, CHOC professionals and philanthropic partners can work together toward giving newborns a healthy start.
CHOC’s team of board-certified neonatologists provide highly-personalized care within the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), which hosts the small baby unit, the surgical NICU, the neurocritical NICU and the cardiovascular ICU (CVICU). In all, 91 beds—including 36 private rooms and specialized units—give families and newborns comfortable, optimized spaces to heal and bond.
Recognized as Orange County’s only Level 4 NICU by the American Academy of Pediatrics, and rated among the top 25 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, CHOC’s neonatal program has expanded its reach to include its 13-bed, Level 2 NICU at St. Joseph Hospital, and a 22-bed, Level 3 NICU at Mission Hospital.
Every dollar donated to this fundraising page will go directly to the NICU at CHOC. To learn more, please visit choc.org/programs-services/nicu
